Sudeki - Items

There are various ways of obtaining items:

Breaking open barrels, boxes and Vases
Opening chests
Completing Quests
Buying at Kamo’s or with Traders

BARRELS, BOXES, VASES & CHESTS

As you travel through the world of Sudeki, you will find a lot of breakable containers. It’s an item that you can break – by kicking, for example – when you approach them, such as vases, boxes and barrels. There are plenty of them and you can find all sorts of things inside, such as healing potions to valuable items. But not all breakable items are rewarding, as you will often find they hold nothing at all. There are also lots of Chests that you can open freely enabling you to take its contents. Some chests are hidden and can only be opened by Ailish through a spell. Also, in some areas, these items may be black and slightly camouflaged against the background.

VALUABLES

Along your journey you will find a lot of valuable items. These items serve no other purpose than to be sold for money, or to collect in certain amounts in order to complete a sub quest. Each sub quest will require specific items and a certain amount of them. See “Necessary Items” for a list of all items needed for quests

MONEY

There are only 2 ways to earn money (florins is the currency in Sudeki):

1. Bash breakable items and you will find a little amount of florins sometimes
2. Sell any valuable items

The latter will be your primary way of earning money. Unlike any other RPG, in Sudeki, battles will earn you no money. Enemies will sometimes drop valuable items instead. The general idea here is to collect those valuables, and sell them to merchants. As stated above you can’t sell armours and weapons (as you can’t buy them in the first place).

NECESSARY ITEMS

Here is a listing of the items necessary to complete all of the collection quests, and how many of each item you will need, in total. In other words, don’t go selling any of these unless you have more than necessary.

TRADING

You can only buy healing items (and some weapons) in shops. Most of them consist of HP and SP healing items, as well as some status remedying items. You can also sell valuables you find along your journey to earn some money.

Every shop has a taste for special valuables and therefore, selling some valuables may earn more money in certain shops. Be sure to pay attention to what a merchant wants (by talking to them). And always remember that travelling merchants always offer more than those in towns and cities

TRADERS

Throughout the countryside of Sudeki, you will meet various traders. They tend to have preferences for certain classes of items. See Traders for a list of Traders & Blacksmiths in each town.

There are several types of items in Sudeki:

CONSUMABLE ITEMS
These are the various drinks and healing ointments that can be taken to raise HP and SP. Orbs are also included in this list: Kamo is the only trader who will buy these type of items from you

VALUABLE ITEMS
a) Quest Items
Such as Totems. These items stay in your inventory until you need them. They cannot be sold.

b) Scrolls
These stay in your inventory. They trigger the runes available at Blacksmiths.

c) Tradable Items
These items can be sold. Some quest items may be here, too, so be careful.

ORBS

Ghost Orb
A large glowing Orb. Used when crossing the Bridges of Skulls in the Realms of Shadows. As the skulls touch you, you lose HP
without one of these. If you have one in your possession, the skulls give you HP.

Orb of Might
This orb holds the knowledge of the great sage Moran. Permanently raises SP by 20 (single PC).

This is a mystic orb that contains the essence of a titan. It permanently raises Power by 10 (single PC).

Orb of Sanctuary
This orb holds the soul of a Mighty Wyrd. Raises the user’s Maximum HP by 250 (single PC).

Spirit Orb
An ethereal sphere that holds the spirit of a fallen anthropomorph warrior. Take this precious orb to Pitt the Ferryman in the Shadow
Nexus so that he can release the soul into the afterlife. After you bring him enough to complete the Souls for the Ferryman collection
quest, Pitt in The Realm of Shadows will continue to give you 50 florins each for these.

Orb of Vigor
This orb is made of solidified dragon blood. It permanently raises HP by 100.

Boathouse Key
A rusty key to the old Crystal Reef boathouse.

Crystal Lightbulb
A bulb made from jagged crystal shards.  It glows with magical light. Part of the Valuable Cargo series of quests in New Brightwater Village.

Crystal Reef Key
A large key.

Fallen Warrior’s Skull
Skull of a long-dead hero of the people of Mo. It is carved with text “I fought hundred battles for my kin and defeated thousand foes. My final wish is to be laid rest in the World of Shadows.

Galex’s Key
Old key, clearly made by the Locksmiths of New Brightwater.

Heart Circuit
A fine gold necklace with a heart-shaped locket. You can find this item in The Mines area of the Transentine Research Centre, after defeating Krenn. Used to complete the Heart’s Heart quest..

Hexam’s Key
Old, rusty key.

Hunting Spear
Ceremonial Spear of the Shadani Tribe, used as a proof of friendship of the Anthropomorphs. Only the Shamans of the Tribe have the authority to give these spears to strangers.

Kirklin-Rah’s Key
The key to open Kirklin-Rah’s tent

Lily Seeds
Seeds of Illumina lilies.  Queen Lusica herself grows such lilies in her garden. Part of the Valuable Cargo series of quests in New Brightwater Village.

Mermaid Pearl
A huge pearl, the traditional offering of sailors to mermaids to appease them

Navigation Stone
You’re in luck. This special stone allows you to use the portals between the worlds. Just take this stone and stand on a portal to call upon magical transportive powers

Oil Painting
A lovely gilt-edged oil painting by the famous Durani-Mo artists, Hans Halfbean.  This particular work captures the pastoral beauty of his homeland, before all the troubles. Part of the Valuable Cargo series of quests in New Brightwater Village.

Parrot’s Feather
A large grey tail feather

Tale of Farex Lore
Farex Lore, the greatest warrior of the anthropomorphs, was charged with the duty of protecting the sacred Navigation Stone. After his death, his fierce warrior spirit refused to lay down and rest, and instead continued to guard the artefact for all eternity.
